Responsibilities:

In order to develop its activities in China, 3E is looking for a Project Engineer dedicated to major projects in the field of energy efficiency in China. The position is based in Brussels and can potentially be relocated to China within 2 years.

As part of a team of technical experts specialised in the design, realisation and operation of energy efficient buildings, you will assist clients in the realisation of ambitious energy saving projects, from energy concepts and pre-design to post-commissioning and performance monitoring.

Delivery of Technical Expertise

• Conduct technical studies (diagnostic, project analysis, dimensioning of alternative systems) and feasibility studies
• Design and provide technical-economical analysis of sustainable energy concepts and innovation strategies for buildings and urban districts with a focus on technical installations
• Follow-up building realisation in cooperation with architects and construction enterprises
• Apply monitoring tools to validate the energy concept in operational phase

This position involves regular travel to China.

Profile:

• Degree in engineering (thermal, construction or electrical engineer) or equivalent through experience
• Prior experience as a project engineer, preferably for international projects
• Knowledge of or strong interest in energy efficiency in buildings
• Experience in HVAC systems and knowledge of thermal building physics analysis by means of dynamic simulations are an asset
• Open to and curious of innovative concepts
• Good understanding of both Western and Chinese cultures
• Prior work experience in or with China and/or knowledge of China construction and renewable energy standards, regulations and markets is an asset

Skills:

• Fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese is an absolute requirement, oral and written. Knowledge of additional languages is a definite asset
