3E is an internationally leading expertise company active in all domains of renewable energy and energy efficiency. The role

3E has initiated the development of a medium-size wind turbine for application in hybrid systems for power supply in remote corners of the world.  For this 3E is collaborating with leading research institutes in wind turbine technology. Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and propose solutions for drive-train and bearing arrangement
• Develop design solutions for mechanical systems/components such as yaw system  and brakes
• Contribute to mechanical design of other components such as generator and pitch system
• Conduct calculations for detailed component design and validation
• Manage subcontracts for design and testing of prototypes
• Prepare design specifications and documentation for third-party certification

• M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering with a special focus on mechanical systems
• Minimum 3 years relevant experience in wind turbine or related technology 

Skills:

• Experience in technical project managing
• In-depth knowledge of rotating machines Basic knowledge of hydraulic and servo systems
  
• CAD literate (AutoCAD, Solidworks, ..)Ability to work in a small team and engage in cross-disciplinary tasks
• Pro-active attitude and problem-solving capacity
• Excellent knowledge of English; knowledge of additional languages is an asset
